The Congregation first gathering for Shabbat Dinner. Then at the beginning of the Kabbalat Shabbat Service, Steven Puzio, Rabbi Stern and Karen Threats sang B'shem Hashem and Shalom Aleichem in various melodies (a melody popularized by the group Regesh, traditional melody, a melody composed by Paul Zim). Additionally, Karen sang, as a soloist, a new version composed by Debbie Friedman. Jaimie Blackman, playing the guitar and Gregory Banaska, from our Hebrew School, playing the flute, accompanied the singing. Click to read the lyrics and hear the music
